Texinfo is the official documentation format of the GNU project. It was invented by RichardStallman and Bob Chassell many years ago, loosely based on Brian Reid'sScribe and other formatting languages of the time. It is used by manynon-GNU projects as well.
Powerful online file converter between multiple file formats. Supports 200 + Formats of documents, images, presentations, archive, audio and video files. An image file format may store data in an uncompressed format, a compressed format (which may be lossless or lossy), or a vector format. Image files are composed of digital data in one of these formats so that the data can be rasterized for use on a computer display or printer. Input File Formats Haploview currently accepts input data in five formats, standard linkage format, completely or partially phased haplotypes, HapMap Project data dumps, PHASE format, and PLINK outputs. The program can also automatically fetch phased HapMap data off the HapMap website. It also takes in a separate file with marker position information, as well as several auxiliary input files. We partner with leading companies so you can add Adobe Document Cloud’s PDF tools to the applications your teams already use. With PDF tools embedded in Microsoft 365, you can instantly convert Microsoft Word documents, Excel files, or Powerpoint presentations to PDF format to simplify and streamline your workflows. Learn more about integrations.
Texinfo uses a single source file to produce output in a number offormats, both online and printed (dvi, html, info, pdf, xml, etc.). Thismeans that instead of writing different documents for online informationand another for a printed manual, you need write only one document. Andwhen the work is revised, you need revise only that one document. TheTexinfo system is well-integrated with GNUEmacs.
Basics

Download the latest official release as a compressed tar file (also on all GNU mirrors). Older releases are also available.
The Texinfo manual and standalone Info reader manual from the latest official release, in various formats. See the GNU documentation page for manuals for other GNU packages (and more).
The Texinfo reference card formatted for letter-size paper (four landscape pages) and for A4-size paper.
The latest texinfo.tex macro file used for converting Texinfo source to DVI or PDF files for printing and viewing, using the TeX typesetting system. The latest texinfo.tex is also available via the Savannah gnulib project and ftp.gnu.org mirrors, among other places. (texinfo.tex is updated much more frequently than full Texinfo releases are made; please use the latest version.)
If available, the latest pretest. Pretests are inherently unstable. Please try them and report problems—that's why they are done, so the official release will be as reliable as it can be.
